Gaza: Survived the War But Killed by Hunger
War, violence, destruction, barbarity, genocide – we have run out of adjectives to describe the situation in Gaza. While over 25,000 have been killed by bombs and bullets, thousands more continue to face death through thirst, starvation, and disease. Are you just going to be bystanders and do nothing? No, here at HCR, we will not cease our efforts for Gaza until death comes to us. We encourage every brother and sister to do the same. Do not give up on Gaza, do not give up on Palestine. Donate your Sadaqah and Zakat to the Gaza Emergency Appeal and help save lives.
The task at hand is far larger than we could imagine, and we do not claim to bring comfort to every Gazan family. However, we are making our efforts and focusing on helping one family at a time. With your support, Insha’Allah, we will try our best to rebuild the lives of families who have lost everything.
An Open Air Prison Converted to an Open Air Graveyard
The events in Gaza are a reminder of how fragile peace is in the world. Lives could change in a moment.
Only in September 2023, we were distributing food packs among the families living on the outskirts of Gaza City. But within the days of that distribution, the whole city has been razed to the ground. Roads and streets are full of rubble underneath which thousands of people are still buried. Entire families have been killed in merciless bombing leaving no one behind to even mourn. Neighbourhood after neighbourhood, hospital after hospital, mosque after mosque, and residential building after residential building has been flattened to the ground along with its residents.
This war has probably been the most brutalist one-sided war mankind has ever witnessed.
Remember: Gazan families who have fled their homes without food or belongings urgently need food and financial aid to rebuild their lives. Every minute, and every single penny counts. Donate your Sadaqah and Zakat to the Gaza Emergency Appeal and help provide lifesaving aid to the beautiful people of Gaza.

Why Donate to Gaza Emergency Appeal
85%
of Gaza population is displaced
60%
of homes are damaged or destroyed
80%
are surviving on one meal a day
1%
of Gaza population has been killed*
*if you compare this percentage of China’s population, that would’ve been 14 million people and in the UK that would be 660,000 people
LET THAT SINK IN!
Seek Allah’s Pleasure By Helping the People of Gaza
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever would love to be shaded in the shade of Allah, let him help someone in hardship or waive a loan.”

HCR on the Ground in Gaza
Since 2020, Humanity Care Relief has had a permanent volunteer team on the ground in Gaza. Over the years we distributed thousands of food packs, and tens of thousands of hot meals and supported hundreds of widows and orphans through Sponsor a Widow and Sponsor an Orphan programmes. Donate to Gaza Emergency Appeal and help save lives. Together we can change, protect and save lives.
Still not sure whether to donate to Gaza Crisis Appeal or not, read this!
Imagine facing each day with the uncertainty of not having enough to eat. This is the harsh reality for 80% of the Gaza population. Daily meals, a basic human necessity, have become a luxury many cannot afford. It’s time to ask ourselves: Will we continue watching the plight of our Gazan brothers and sisters or are we going to do something?
Let’s join together and firstly make dua for the people of Gaza and secondly donate from our halal earnings as much as we can.

Why Palestine is Important in Islam?
Location of Al-Aqsa Mosque
Al-Aqsa Mosque, located in Jerusalem, is the third holiest site in Islam. It was the first Qibla (direction of prayer) for Muslims before the Kaaba in Mecca.
Isra and Mi’raj
Palestine is the site of the Prophet Muhammad’s miraculous night journey (Isra) and ascension (Mi’raj) to the heavens, as mentioned in the Quran (Surah Al-Isra, 17:1).
Land of Prophets
Palestine is revered as the land of many prophets in Islam, including Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Dawud (David), Sulayman (Solomon), and Isa (Jesus), peace be upon them all.
First Qibla for Muslims
Palestine is the location of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, which was the first Qibla (direction of prayer) for Muslims. This was before the Kaaba in Mecca was established as the Qibla. This historical aspect adds to the sacredness of the land in Islamic tradition.
HCR – Help Alleviate Poverty
We are a UK-based international relief and development charity. Inspired by Islamic teachings of empathy, generosity, and selflessness, we focus on alleviating poverty and suffering across the world. We operate a 100% Zakat Policy, which means every single penny of your Zakat will go to the victims of poverty, wars, and natural disasters.
Before you support our Food Appeal, Water Appeal, Syria Emergency Appeal, Yemen Emergency Appeal, Pakistan Floods Appeal, or any Emergency Appeal, remember to make the intention that you are donating for the sake of Allah first and helping your fellow Muslim brothers and sisters second. This is very important because as Muslims, whatever act of worship we do, we do it for the sake of Allah.
Along with our emergency appeals, we are working on some amazing projects which will, Insha’Allah, bring prosperity to many Muslim homes from around the world. Donate your Sadaqah and Zakat to our projects like Build a Masjid, Livelihoods for the Poor, Sponsor a Widow, Sponsor an Orphan, Sponsor a Nikah, Donate a Sewing Machine, or help educate the Ummah by donating towards education projects, Sponsoring a Hafiz, Sponsoring a Child in Education, or supporting young people in university and Islamic education. Donate with confidence, Insha’Allah, every penny of your donation is your Amanah, and we will try our best to spend it on people who are in need.
Every year, we as Muslims celebrate two seasons the most: one, Ramadan, and two, the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. During these blessed days, we put all our efforts into pleasing Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى by performing good deeds. Here at HCR, we provide you with the platform to perform an important act of worship: charity. In Ramadan, you can donate to the Ramadan Food Appeal, and Ramadan Zakat Appeal, Donate Your Fidyah, Donate Your Fitrana, and Pay Your Kaffarah for Breaking Oath or Breaking Fast, especially during the blessed nights of Laylatul Qadr. In Dhul Hijjah, we are here to help fulfil your duty of performing Qurbani. Whichever cause you choose, choose it with confidence. Insha’Allah.
