Our Charity Projects
The true beauty of charity lies in the joy it brings to those in need. Witnessing the radiant smile of a child or the grateful tears of a widow reminds us why every effort is meaningful. Even before officially forming our charity, the essence of our mission was alive and active. Our dedicated team has participated in numerous charitable projects globally, with notable efforts in the UK, Pakistan, Gaza, Syria, Yemen, Bangladesh and Africa.
As our support network grew, with more volunteers joining our cause, we recognised the need for a more organised approach. Thus, Humanity Care Relief was established to channel our efforts more effectively and make a lasting impact.
100% Zakat Policy
We operate under a 100% Zakat Policy, which guarantees that every penny of your Zakat donation is distributed among the eight categories specified in the Quran. This includes helping the poor, the needy, those in debt, and other eligible recipients. We take great care to ensure that these funds are not used for any administrative, marketing, or operational costs. This commitment to full transparency and adherence to Islamic principles ensures that your Zakat is used purely for its intended purpose.
Example: Zakat Donation – If you donate £10 of your Zakat to HCR, every penny of that £10 will be directed towards those eligible to receive Zakat, as per Islamic guidelines. No deductions are made for any other expenses.

90% General Donation Policy
For non-Zakat donations, HCR follows a 90% donation policy. This means that 90 pence of every pound donated is allocated directly to projects that support the poor and needy. The remaining 10 pence is allocated to cover essential administrative, transportation, printing, and marketing expenses. This policy allows us to maintain a high level of service, ensure the efficient delivery of aid, and continue our outreach and educational programmes.
Example: General Donation – If you donate £10 towards our water appeal, £9 will go towards providing clean water solutions, such as installing wells or water pumps, to impoverished communities. The remaining £1 will be used to cover the necessary costs associated with delivering these services, including logistics, staffing, and awareness campaigns.
Why We Allocate 10% for Operational Costs
The 10% allocated from general donations covers crucial operational expenses that enable HCR to function effectively and sustain its projects. These costs include:
By allocating a small percentage of funds to these essential areas, we ensure that our projects are run efficiently, reach their full potential, and that we can continue to expand our reach and impact.
Save Lives with Your Sadaqah & Zakat
We are a UK-based international relief and development charity. Inspired by Islamic teachings of empathy, generosity, and selflessness, we focus on alleviating poverty and suffering across the world. We operate a 100% Zakat Policy, which means every single penny of your Zakat will go to the victims of poverty, wars, and natural disasters.
Before you support our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Project, Food Appeal, Water Appeal, Gaza Emergency Appeal, Syria Emergency Appeal, Pakistan Floods Appeal, or any Emergency Appeal, remember to make the intention that you are donating for the sake of Allah first and helping your fellow Muslim brothers and sisters second. This is very important because as Muslims, whatever act of worship we do, we do it for the sake of Allah.
Along with our emergency appeals, we are working on some amazing projects which will, Insha’Allah, bring prosperity to many Muslim homes from around the world. Donate your Sadaqah and Zakat to our projects like Build a Masjid, Livelihoods for the Poor, Sponsor a Widow, Sponsor an Orphan, Sponsor a Nikah, Donate a Sewing Machine, or help educate the Ummah by donating towards education projects, Sponsoring a Hafiz, Sponsoring a Child in Education, or supporting young people in university and Islamic education. Donate with confidence, Insha’Allah, every penny of your donation is your Amanah, and we will try our best to spend it on people who are in need.
Every year, we as Muslims celebrate two seasons the most: one, Ramadan, and two, the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. During these blessed days, we put all our efforts into pleasing Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى by performing good deeds. Here at HCR, we provide you with the platform to perform an important act of worship: charity. In Ramadan, you can donate to the Ramadan Food Appeal, and Ramadan Zakat Appeal, Donate Your Fidyah, Donate Your Fitrana, and Pay Your Kaffarah for Breaking Oath or Breaking Fast, especially during the blessed nights of Laylatul Qadr. In Dhul Hijjah, we are here to help fulfil your duty of performing Qurbani. Whichever cause you choose, choose it with confidence. Insha’Allah.
