The Blessing of Water in Islam – And Your Role in It

Water is a direct gift from Allah ﷻ — a sign of His mercy and power. Without it, nothing can survive.

“And We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?”
(Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:30)

“And He sends down rain from the sky and brings forth thereby fruits as provision for you”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:22)

The Prophet ﷺ told the story of a woman who gave water to a thirsty dog:

“A man felt very thirsty while he was on the way, there he came across a well. He went down the well, quenched his thirst and came out. Meanwhile he saw a dog panting and licking mud because of excessive thirst. He said to himself, ‘This dog is suffering from thirst as I did.’ So, he went down the well again and filled his shoe with water and watered it. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him. The people said, ‘O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! Is there a reward for us in serving the animals?’ He replied: ‘Yes, there is a reward for serving any animate (living being).”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, 2466)

You may never meet the people you help. You may never see their village, their smiles, or their du’as.

But Allah sees. Allah hears. And Allah never forgets.

When you donate a water pump with the intention of Sadaqah Jariyah — purely for His sake — you’re part of something eternal.

]
You honour the Sunnah
]
You serve the Ummah
]
You leave behind a legacy that doesn’t fade

The Global Struggle for Clean Water

Water is life. But for billions, it remains out of reach.

]
3.5 billion people lack safely managed sanitation
]
Around 1 in 4 people worldwide still lack safely managed drinking water (WHO & UNICEF)
]
By 2040, 1 in 4 children could face extreme water stress (UNICEF)

This crisis doesn’t just affect health — it affects dignity, education, livelihoods, and life itself.

Children walk for hours just to fetch water.

Families drink from polluted sources.

Mothers skip meals so their children can have a sip.

Your donation to a Water Pump Charity can change that. One well. One pump. One community at a time.

    Water Pump Charity – FAQs

    What is a Water Pump Charity?

    A water pump charity provides clean, safe water to communities that do not have reliable access.

    By installing water pumps, families can access water close to home instead of walking long distances or relying on unsafe sources.

    How does donating to a Water Pump Charity help?

    Your donation helps fund the installation of a water pump in a community in need.

    This gives people:

    • Safe drinking water

    • More time for education and work

    It’s a practical, long-term solution that supports entire communities.

    Is donating a water pump considered Sadaqah Jariyah?

    Can I donate a water pump in someone’s name?

    Yes, you can dedicate a water pump as Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of a loved one.
